I’m in love. I guess I always knew it, but now i’m head over heels (lol) in love.

they are black, shiny, laceup, peep toe gems and the best thing is that I actually own them. Little ol’ me; the young supple girl in bbq sauce stained jeans. Ofcourse these shoes are from Modcloth :) because you know how I’m obsessed with that dandy interweb store of wonders (www.modcloth.com if you hadn’t gotten it the billion other times i’ve posted it)

I love them. I wish I had a picture of when I wore them with the skirt I made on Boxing Day. No matter, for another time.

Also when taking the photos I got some help

Happy Hollandaise!

December 18, 2009 · 2 Comments

Last night Luke and I celebrated with his parents the end of the working year (we all have time off starrrrtiinnnng now) which was wicked awesome. Food was consumed, hilarities to be had. I told my story of the time I tried to pull a bandaid off my arm only to realise I was pulling my skin off and not my bandaid (Yeah I know, not so bright)

And now its the first day of my two week break. It’s 7.21am and my littlest kitten is being a mental, like usual.

All of my christmas shopping is done with two exceptions: animal toys and a plant. But they aren’t the usual in a shopping mall buys so I do not count them, all I need to do is finish making the wrapping paper (I did all mine in calico and ribbons so the cats wouldn’t eat all the paper and I wouldn’t have to rewrap everything like last year)

Since I bought my little sewing machine  last week i’m going to follow a DIY from Lady Melbournes blog: http://www.ladymelbourne.blogspot.com/
It’s a circle skirt pattern (on the third oldest page – I would of linked but my computer is being lamesauce) and I’m so excited to see how it turns out. I want something outrageously lary to wear to work next year.

Also yesterday I bought:

Yes, they are Christmas Pj pants, yes they do have kittens on them. I couldn’t help myself. Tacky or not (I think they are not) Peter Alexander makes the best best BEST pyjamas. Though the Large is meant for a taller woman than I, so they are more of a just-above-the-ankle-dorkcus-interruptus kind of length. I wanted to buy the sleep shorts but they were too small. No matter I love these and they are a perfect summer weight and super soft and I mean hello! KITTENS!!!!

Now to make a perfect awesome mix cd for my car (thankyou Tony) and get ready to pick up my mum for a spot of sewing shopping!

Have a sick weekend y’all!

Dear Lady in the cubicle next to me

December 16, 2009 · 1 Comment

Dear Lady in the Cubicle Next to Me,

Musk perfume is not a good workplace scent. Please cease wearing this immediately. Not only do my sinuses hate it, my stomach now expects Musk Sticks

I don’t know whether to punch you in the face for such a workplace atrocity or mash you between my index finger and thumb before smishing you on the roof of my mouth. Either way I’m sure you’d find it highly unpleasant.

*grumble*

Now to make me feel better i’ll post this picture of a shoe I randomly saved for a post I never made

Remeber two things

December 10, 2009 · 1 Comment

This post is nothing but random
Random number one

On Tuesday I saw a blonde kid taking a shit on the side of the highway 200 metres away from a town and 300 metres away from a service station. The mother was frantically throwing things out of her car whilst the kid was just watching traffic go by and making a squintly little face.

Random number two (which really should of been the poop one, but I’m doing this in day order)

Today my boss threw a tennis ball at me and when I went to catch it it grazed my fingers, spun in the air, i’ve done that dog ‘what the’ and spun a bit, it hit me in the middle of my head and bounced away to someone else’s desk. It was hilarious and I wouldn’t of been able to do it again if I tried. Luckily no one made fun of my girlishness in not being able to catch a tennis ball.

Happy Friday to all those blessed with it early!

Reason 741 on why I need to live in a colder climate

December 7, 2009 · 2 Comments

British Invasion Coat (www.modcloth.com)

When reevaluating my Modcloth wishlist after about twelve things sold out that I loved I found this.  This will be the third coat i’ve purchased this year (actually the third i’ve got someone else to purchase me) considering

a.) It’s summer

b.) Winter isn’t really that cold. I mean it’s not Alaska.

It’s actually hugely reminscent (in my head) of a peacoat I desperately wanted in Antons (It’s in Pitt Street Mall, next to Borders but on the top floor. Well atleast I still think it’s there. I hope it’s there.) that was electric orange and had that flared skirt to it. I would stand there and stare at it and not actually go into the shop because everything is SO expensive and I thought I shouldn’t touch things in case I’d break them.

Also I got this

Kennebunkport Dress (also modcloth)

I couldn’t help myself,  it’s just so pretty and girly and I want big round white framed sunglasses and some sort of scarf for my hair and a boat and and and and stuff. I’m pondering whether to wear this to my parents for Christmas Day only we are having a Wii tournament, so it might not be spazzing out appropriate.

How was/is your weekends?

I know right. GIRRRLLLLLLL!!!!!!

I need a name for him, that isn’t Steven. I name everything Steven. Steven or Gareth.

Shoes are a kind of meat

November 30, 2009 · 2 Comments

I’ve been kind of bummed lately. As a sturdy woman (I really need to think of a better word than sturdy – homely? hefty? houndstooth?) I’m quite fond of shoes because unless you buy some sort of gold gladiator knee high, trussed-up shoe you aren’t going to look like smoked pig product.  I’ve grown a little fond of buying shoes online because, well international styles are different from what we have out here and it means I never have to leave the comfort of my laptop.

I keep finding gorgeous shoes that aren’t in my size (11) or when I do find them in a size that will fit my huge feet the website doesn’t ship them out here.

So anyways, here is a few from my wishlist of when i’m rich and I can have an experimental foot transplant OR I get some awesome robotic feet that shrink and expand to fit any size shoe.

Seychelle Oxford (I found these and the other shoes on Modcloth (www.modcloth.com) but the Seychelle website has them in a few different colours. Me want all.

Chinese Laundry (also Modcloth – These are quite similar to a pair I tried on at one of those Italian Leather shoe sales they hold at the Sydney Hilton every so often. Only those were about 3 inches higher and were predominatly patent black leather. They were also $300 more expensive than these)

I would cut my toes off for any pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes who seems to only make shoes up to a size 10. I was contemplating it for awhile until I saw a lady wearing flip-flops without any toenails and i freaked out at that. There is something so magical about that Unicorn heel. Considering I never like unicorns when I was younger. I think I saw a pair of shoes out here that had a similar ruffling in a lavendery colour but I mean UNICORN HEEL.

Also speaking of shoes Sputnik the cat ate two of my pairs of shoes. Sure he is the size of dog but it doesn’t mean he should chew on my shoes, you know. I’ll take photos and show you the damage when I remember.

Also let me express my fondness for Modcloth. I love that website so much. I’ve never found a website that i’ve wanted to buy so much stuff from, daily. I wish I’d thought of it first.

Happy Summer!!

November 30, 2009 · 1 Comment

Tuesday 1 December: It starts.

I’m pretty sure I need to find a new place to live that isn’t so hot. I don’t do well in heat. Also considering it’s the first day of Summer, i’m in my winter pants that are 3 years past their prime, my zombie t-shirt and a black cardigan that is covered in toothpaste and cat hair. Oh yeah, score one for fashion!! :D

My littlest kitty is still having problems with the ulcer on her eye, she cut her lower eyelid yesterday trying to scratch it. Stupid kitten. We have these eyedrops that go in 4 times a day but they don’t seem to be working terribly well. For $80 they should be working better.

I need coffee…. and possibly happy pills.
