Hi, my name is Megan, I’m a I-can-only-buy-shoes-in-black-aholic
It’s Sunday morning and I’m up way too early so the most therapeutic thing to do is look up shoes. Only now i’m in love with too many pairs of shoes and all of them are in black

MISS SIXTY black/green $113.99
I already have about 48,000 different version of a shoe like this, But these ones have green piping! GREEN!!
Also when did Carlos Santana start designing women’s shoes? It’s a bizarre world ladies and gentlemen.

I’m looking forward to attending it. The basic idea is you head to Martin Place with three quality easy to carry items, you exchange it for tokens and then you find what you like and exchange it with your tokens. If you and someone else pick it up you rock paper scissors to see who gets it.
Registration is from 11am and it starts at 12.30pm
I’ve got a bunch of handbags that i’m thinking of swapping in. Since purchasing my black leather satchel bag I haven’t used another handbag in 5 years – excluding the occasional use of the red tapestry bag i bought in mimic of Austin Scarlet from Project Runway many many seasons ago.
Hopefully I can convince my boss to let me have a long long LOOONNGG lunch, I’d have to leave at 11.30 to walk from my work and register my shit.
If there’s anyone in Sydney that reads my blog (mum i’m talking to you!) you should attend!!!

I’m totally in love with this photo. Mum said ‘Do catalogue Models!’ and this is what my brother and I pulled out.
Also check out my man jacket. Oh yeah. It’s Tokito and I’m pretty sure i’d wear it everyday of my life if I could. My mum and I went shopping for it the night of Elvis Costello. It had no tag on it and my mum convinced the lady to put it in with a discount, so it ended up costing $80. Still, it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.

My Dearest Modcloth,
I hate you. Here I go and make a massive order and then you bring out these
www.modcloth.com
Not fair – I want these. I want these so bad if you said ‘Megan, punch yourself in the face and i’ll give you these shoes’ i’d totally do it. I would sell my first born for these shoes. I would possibly even exercise for these shoes.
Also can someone please explain why my coke tastes like it’s been mixed with tea. It’s gross.

A theme change was needed. A little kitty nose needed to be added.
Thankyou Tik. Like always you were the perfect model.
Also, it’s three days till my birthday *bounce*. You think after 23 years I’d get tired of being a giddy school girl, but no. I’m not.
Okay time to put my guitar away and sleep. Until we meet again interwebz!

Busy weekend. My loverly Luciano and his parent shaped folks did a run up to sunny Brisbane for Luke’s Haidong Gumdo Championships. Had a fantastic time, ate way too much, consumed way too many drinks (Curse my lack of sweating) and screamed myself a wee bit hoarse on Sunday.
There are a few pictures that I’ll post when I’m at home, namely of my man claiming his silver medal with his partner for sparring
[Edit] Pictures now!

This is my outfit from Friday night when we went to the Lychee Lounge. It was alot of fun. They had 17 pages of cocktails! it was awesome. I totally wish I could wear this dress more often. It needs to be taken in slightly in the boob area – hence why i’ve got the shirt underneath.

My Luke. He’s awesome right?
Also there have been more Modcloth purchases – all in the name of Christmas present! Deck the halls! Yay!

New Galaxy Top (on sale to 16.99 US)

Prescott Jacket (on sale to 43.99US)

Ship Christenings Dress (So in love with those pretty buttons!)

Secret Agent Coat (I know, I know, I have like 17 coats. But this one is grey and I don’t have a grey coat, also – buttons. Look at all them shiny buttons.)
And now, the shoes – which are a huge risk to buy on the internet. The US sizes put me at an 11, which makes me think I have giant boat clown feet of doom – Which I do. When my friend and I at work measured feet we had the same size – cept he was a guy
ANYHOO

Bewitching Peep Toes (I don’t know if i’ll ever stop loving Oxfordesque shoes. It has been so many years and my shoes are all simarly oxfordish. Also I really need to stop buying black shoes. My entire heel collection is black.)

Legend Booties in Blix. Seriously I couldn’t help myself. They reminded me of Legend of Neil, and that can only be a good thing.
So there it is. Once again Modcloth is providing me with a wardrobe that will mean i can maybe stop wearing such old pants to work. Also I’m starting to think all my Modcloth purchases are leading me ever closer to my dream of being in Down With Love – I think i’d need more colour.
I’m off to practice my Renee Zelweger walk. Someone hand me a giant hat and a sour expression!!

I’m jealous of people who can wear flats. As a person of giant but slender foot I cannot. Normally I have to buy them half a size/ one size smaller than I need just to get them to stay on my foot. Which really seems to ruin the fact that flats are a super comfortable classy way to make an outfit work.
If my feet are as blistered as they would be in absurdly high heels then I’d rather wear heels.
End of transmission
PS. Dear My Left Ear,
I know I said I was thinking about repiercing you. I don’t understand why you have gotten infected without anything sort of sharp object coming near you. Not fair
Please cease this tomfoolery or I will stab you with whatever I can find.
Regards,
Miss Maya Papaya

The first of my Modcloth (www.modcloth.com) packages arrived at my parent’s place. My mum was opening the box and ooohing and aaahing away. That’s seven kinds of unfair.
Also the problem with shopping months in advance for Birthday/Christmas presents means that once they do arrive, you’ve still gotta wait to get it.
Luckily, the lovely lovely divine people at Modcloth included (drumroll please) Gift with purchase. The three greatest words ever to grace my humble little blog. So i’ll have to wait for my dress, vest and spring/autumn weight jacket for at least three more weeks, yet i can play with my face necklace/earring combo
Note to self: Re-peirce ears.

I was doing the Twitterhop and from Modcloth I came to Keikolynn and her blog. Not only is her blog awesome (here: http://www.keikolynn.blogspot.com/) but this photo of her made me insanely jealous

She (and those shoes – Modcloth, they are on my Christmas wish list) gorgeous, but her blazer is just freaking awesome. I love the 3/4 sleeves and the length and the colour and I’m making grabby hands at my monitor.
Now the question is do I dare attempt to thrift shop it? Or do I search high and low for something similar?
Decisions, decisions, decisions……
